About James Nash
James Nash is a skilled attorney with a broad practice focused on complex civil litigation and family law. As a dedicated member of the civil litigation team at Griffiths Law, he closely works with Duncan Griffiths to represent individuals and businesses in a range of disputes, including construction defects, real estate conflicts, insurance coverage issues, partnership dissolutions, and breach of contract matters. James also brings his experience to family law cases, particularly those involving divorce, child custody, high-asset property division, and common law marriage disputes.
James has honed his litigation skills by handling arbitrations and trials throughout Colorado. Whether he’s representing clients in real estate disputes, contested domestic relations trials, or business partnership disagreements, James excels at developing tailored strategies, preparing witnesses, and presenting evidence in a clear, persuasive manner. Clients appreciate his methodical approach to complex legal issues and his ability to calmly navigate even the most challenging cases.
In addition to his civil litigation work, James is well versed in family law, focusing on high conflict divorce and child custody cases. He has a proven track record of helping clients protect their interests during difficult times. With a clear understanding of the emotional and financial stakes involved, James takes a compassionate yet assertive approach to securing favorable outcomes for his clients.
Before becoming an attorney, James worked as a paralegal and law clerk at Griffiths Law, where he spent three years under the mentorship of one of the firm’s shareholders. This experience gave him a unique perspective on the litigation process, allowing him to understand case preparation and client advocacy from both the legal and practical sides. His time as a paralegal continues to shape his approach to complex cases, providing him with a deep understanding of the details that can make all the difference in successful case outcomes.
James earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he was awarded the Scholastic Excellence Award for his work in Trusts and Estates. He completed his undergraduate studies at Tarleton State University, where he majored in Legal Studies.
Clients value James’ ability to simplify complex legal concepts and guide them with confidence through every step of the legal process. Whether he’s representing a business in a high-stakes contract dispute or a family navigating the complexities of divorce, James takes a personalized approach to each case. He is committed to providing exceptional legal counsel and achieving the best possible outcomes for those he serves.
