About Kristin Milano
Kristin Milano brings over two decades of exceptional legal experience to Griffiths Law, combining her extensive background in federal litigation, regulatory enforcement, and trial advocacy with a deep commitment to protecting clients’ interests during life’s most challenging transitions.
As a seasoned attorney with a proven track record in high-stakes litigation, Kristin has successfully directed sophisticated legal matters involving multi-million dollar civil enforcement disputes. Her experience spans from first-chairing felony jury trials as an Assistant District Attorney in New York City, where she was a founding member of the Gang/Major Case Bureau investigating complex conspiracies and violent crimes using advanced investigative techniques including wiretap orders and long-term undercover operations, to leading civil enforcement litigation as Assistant Chief Counsel for the Transportation Security Administration, where she supervised 35 attorneys serving over 30,000 clients nationwide. Throughout her career, she has developed comprehensive litigation strategies, successfully negotiated numerous high-value settlements, and developed and delivered specialized training on investigation techniques and legal procedures.
Kristin has always shown a passion for fighting for individual clients, demonstrating this commitment throughout her career. As an Assistant District Attorney, she was dedicated to protecting victims of domestic abuse and other violent crime, while during her federal service, she created the Assault Task Force to support employees who had been attacked while performing their jobs. Kristin understands that family law matters require both legal expertise and personal sensitivity, and her extensive experience in high-pressure litigation environments, combined with her commitment to ethical practice and client service, makes her an invaluable advocate for clients navigating complex family transitions.
Kristin earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she received the CALI Award for Excellence in Sex Discrimination and the Law and served as Associate Production Editor for the Communications and Entertainment Law Journal. She graduated cum laude from Miami University of Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, where she served as Captain of the Debate Team. She is licensed to practice in Colorado, New York, and California.
When she’s not advocating for her clients, Kristin enjoys time with her husband and two sons, traveling, and volunteering in her community.
To be chosen as someone’s advocate in their darkest hour is perhaps the greatest privilege our profession offers.
