About Cheyenne Somers
Cheyenne Somers’ practice is focused on complex civil litigation and family law matters. She works closely with Duncan and Christopher Griffiths as part of the civil litigation team, representing individuals and businesses in disputes involving construction defect, real estate, insurance coverage, partitions, partnership dissolutions, and breach of contract. Her family law practice includes divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, common law marriage disputes, and high-asset property division.
As part of the civil litigation team, Cheyenne has significant litigation experience, having handled multi-day arbitrations and trials across Colorado. She has represented clients in real estate disputes, partnership disputes, breach of contract cases, partitions, and contested domestic relations trials. In addition, she has conducted numerous depositions, where her thorough preparation and sharp examination skills have consistently advanced her clients’ positions.
Clients appreciate Cheyenne’s ability to work with the civil litigation team to manage complex cases from start to finish—developing case strategy, preparing witnesses, and presenting evidence with clarity and precision. She is recognized for her strong courtroom presence and practical approach to problem-solving, always working hard to secure the best possible outcome, whether through settlement or trial.
Before becoming an attorney, Cheyenne worked at Griffiths Law as a paralegal for six years. During that time, she worked with multiple shareholders, continuing in her paralegal role full-time while attending law school. This experience gives her a unique perspective and deep understanding of the litigation process, allowing her to guide clients confidently through each step of their case.
Cheyenne earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she received multiple awards for academic excellence and honed her negotiation skills as a competitor on the NFL Negotiation Team. Her undergraduate studies were at the University of the Pacific, where she earned her degree in Health, Exercise, and Sports Science with a minor in Pre-Law while competing as a Division I soccer player.
Outside of work, Cheyenne enjoys traveling, running with her dog, biking Colorado’s trails, and chatting over a coffee with her family and friends.
Reviews
The best in the business, will recommend to everyone. Cheyenne represented me on a civil case with my ex. She was amazing, she answered all my questions, and took time to calm me down when needed. This case ended up going to trial, and I was very happy with the results of the trial, I definitely feel that Cheyenne and Duncan smoked the other side. It is so important to hire the right lawyers, and there is a lot of trust comes in that you know they are doing the best things for you. I am not an easy client so I can’t say enough about Cheyenne Somers and Griffiths Law. They truly are the best in the business.

Cheyenne Somers was the dominant force in moving my residential non-disclosure case forward. Throughout the entire process she was extremely progressional, sharp, diligent, and willing to become a complete expert on just about anything. I cannot recommend her enough. Her seriousness, straight-forward nature, and commitment to consistent communication really helped me through the entire situation. Without Cheyenne I cannot imagine the situation I would be in today. Her expertise and focus hits all of the marks!

I needed help with a divorce. Duncan Griffiths came very highly recommended by another excellent attorney who is now retired from family law practice. Given that I am a former litigator I know, and value the importance of top notch representation. Duncan, and his associate Cheyenne Somers, were perfect for what I needed. In my legal career I interacted with thousands of attorneys, and tried cases against the best legal teams that money could buy. I have high standards and I can tell the best possible legal work from that of lesser quality. Duncan and Cheyenne provided truly excellent representation and, I might add, at a fair cost with zero wasted time or money on legal fees.
