About Cheyenne Somers

Cheyenne Somers’ practice is focused on complex civil litigation and family law matters. She works closely with Duncan and Christopher Griffiths in their civil litigation practice, focusing on construction, insurance, real estate, partitions, and business disputes. Her family law practice focuses on divorce, common law marriage, allocation of parental responsibilities, and related domestic relations matters.

Before becoming an attorney, Cheyenne worked at Griffiths Law for six years as a paralegal, handling complex litigation cases with multiple shareholders. During her time as a paralegal, Cheyenne attended trials and focused on learning how to execute trial strategies and tactics. When she was not assisting in court, Cheyenne gained experience in various areas of law, including trusts, business organizational structures, income analysis, tax, construction defects, and principles of financial accounting. Cheyenne continued to work full-time at the firm while attending law school.

Cheyenne earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of the Pacific, where she played Division I soccer. During law school, Cheyenne competed as part of the Sturm College of Law’s NFL Negotiation Team, where she learned the strategy of negotiating creative deals for clients. Cheyenne also volunteered with the Virtual Pro Se Legal Clinic, where she learned how crucial it is for everyone to have access to justice. Cheyenne received many honors for high academic achievement during law school, including scholarships and scholastic excellence awards.

Outside of work, Cheyenne enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys running with her dog, traveling, reading, having game nights with friends, and playing soccer.

Reviews

Cheyenne Somers was the dominant force in moving my residential non-disclosure case forward. Throughout the entire process she was extremely progressional, sharp, diligent, and willing to become a complete expert on just about anything. I cannot recommend her enough. Her seriousness, straight-forward nature, and commitment to consistent communication really helped me through the entire situation. Without Cheyenne I cannot imagine the situation I would be in today. Her expertise and focus hits all of the marks!

I needed help with a divorce. Duncan Griffiths came very highly recommended by another excellent attorney who is now retired from family law practice. Given that I am a former litigator I know, and value the importance of top notch representation. Duncan, and his associate Cheyenne Somers, were perfect for what I needed. In my legal career I interacted with thousands of attorneys, and tried cases against the best legal teams that money could buy. I have high standards and I can tell the best possible legal work from that of lesser quality. Duncan and Cheyenne provided truly excellent representation and, I might add, at a fair cost with zero wasted time or money on legal fees.

There are not enough good things to say about Griffith Law, PC. I was referred to this firm when I was looking for an attorney to start my divorce process and very thankful that I was. With the help from Cheyenne Sommers, they helped me get a result that I was happy with. They were very responsive and listened to what was most important to me to get out of the divorce, and I believe they helped me achieve it! During the process when situations arose, they took the time to help me address every situation and helped me advocate for myself. They also advised me with their legal expertise on what was realistic to go after and what I should rethink my stance on, in order to avoid wasting money and not getting the outcome I would have wanted anyways. I would recommend this firm and especially Duncan Griffiths and Cheyenne Sommers to anyone starting this unknown and scary process.
