About Kady Tran

Kady Tran focuses her practice exclusively on family law matters, including divorce litigation, pre and post-decree parental responsibilities cases, support modifications, common law marriage disputes, grandparent visitation, and civil protection orders. Kady prides herself on providing exceptional client services, deescalating and problem-solving during crisis and high-conflict situations, and empowering clients to make informed decisions while navigating complex and emotionally difficult legal proceedings.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Kady studied social work and worked closely with at-risk youth and survivors of domestic abuse. She also supervised court ordered visits between children and noncustodial parents, giving her firsthand insight into the challenges that families face during periods of change and uncertainty. While in law school, Kady served as a judicial intern for the Honorable A. Bruce Jones in the 2nd Judicial District of Colorado, a legal extern at the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, and a teaching fellow with the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project.

Kady approaches every case with compassion, strategic advocacy, and pragmatism. She believes in the importance of individualized representation and takes the time to understand each client’s circumstances, tailor her representation to their unique needs, and clearly explain the law in accessible terms at all stages.

Kady has significant experience negotiating favorable settlements for her clients, as well as zealously advocating for clients at contested hearings. Her background enables her to look beyond the legal issues in a case and recognize the interpersonal dynamics that often underlie family law disputes. Having served as both a mock trial coach and an experienced litigator, she also believes that effective courtroom advocacy begins long before stepping into the courtroom, and she works closely with her clients to ensure they feel prepared and know what to expect when testifying.

Kady has been recognized by 5280 Magazine as a Top Lawyer for 2026, Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America from 2023–2026 and selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2024–2026.

Outside of work, Kady enjoys spending quality time with her husband and family, hosting dinners and game nights, painting, and playing chess.

“You must never give in to despair. Allow yourself to slip down that road and you surrender to your lowest instincts. In the darkest times, hope is something you give yourself. That is the meaning of inner strength.”

Reviews

Kady Tran and her team have been nothing short of exceptional in dealing with a very complicated and messy post decree case! I had other attorneys before I hired her and my only regret that I hadn’t done it sooner! She is action oriented, responsive, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable with strategies that she knows are in the best interest of my son and I would highly recommend Kady, she is an exceptional family attorney and I truly feel “safe” with her in my corner.
